Job Descriptions for both positions are listed below:

Job Title: Machine Operator

Location: Delhi, NY (Fraser)

Reports To: Production Supervisor

FLSA: Hourly

SUMMARY
Primary responsibilities are to run and maintain fillers and other related equipment. Operates continuous flow or vat-type equipment to process milk, cream, and other dairy products, following specified methods and formulas. High responsibility - responsible for quality, food safety and product specifications.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
Other duties may be assigned.

• Responsible for machine set up and adjustments in addition must monitor equipment
• Sets up equipment to all product specs
• Inspects quality of products
• Ensure proper packaging materials are being used for each product produced
• Ability to perform filler and filler line changeovers
• Pulls samples for Quality Control Lab
• Weighs and records all dry ingredients for daily batches on report sheets
• Reworks products into batches
• Operates computer to perform blending
• Operate and maintain equipment
• Complete necessary documentation and maintain logs for quality control
• Responsible for proper cleaning procedures
• Replenish packaging supplies
• Maintain glue pots
• Maintain a clean, sanitary area and follow all general safety rules

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands and arms to reach (various types of reaching such as extend out and overhead), grasp, push, pull and handle parts and or material. The employee is required to stand and frequently is required to walk, climb, sit, talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch or smell. The employee must regularly lift and or move up to 20 lbs. and frequently lift and or move up to 65 lbs.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Climate is will vary with seasonal highs and lows. (The work environment may see an increase or decrease in temperature.)

SAFETY
The use of safety equipment such as hearing protection and footwear is provided. Face shield, aprons and /or gloves will be provided. Employees are expected to adhere to all safety procedures and follow equipment guidelines.

EDUCATION AND OR EXPERIENCE
High school diploma/GED or related experience and or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

SKILLS
Strong communication skills and able to manage multiple priorities. Must possess the ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing. Must be able to read and interpret documents. Good mathematical skills, conscientious, attentive and strong observational skills.

Job Title: Cooler Operator

 

Location: Delhi, NY (Fraser)

Reports To: Distribution Manager

FLSA: Hourly

SUMMARY
Successfully move product through distribution area and load trucks for outgoing shipments. The employee will perform general warehouse duties including; shipping/receiving, picking and packing orders, processing orders (where applicable) in the system, and other warehouse related job tasks as assigned.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
Other duties may be assigned.

Pick, stage and load finished product onto designated trailers
Receive, handle and inventory re-supply products, sort pallets as necessary and tag Pallets as required. Also, includes working in palletizer area.

Remove finished product from palletizer area and transfer to proper location.
Perform all picking, staging, loading and unloading operations at established rates.
Operate automatic shrink wrapper, pallet inverter and other associated equipment.
Isolate and remove any damaged product from pallets, then replace and re-stack.
Assist with inventory as required.
Ensure building, cooler racks and equipment are not damaged. Report any damage to immediate supervisor.

Maintain safe and clean work area. Follow housekeeping guidelines. Operate forklift in a safe and efficient manner.

Always work in a safe and efficient manner. Keep yard clean and free of debris.
Miscellaneous duties such as data entry, faxing, photo copying, calculator and telephone.
Must be professional, flexible and able to work well with others.

Ensure visitors are stopped at the gate and announced to proper person before they are permitted to enter the facility.

Enter information into the Daily Truck Log.

Effectively use hand held and VRC scanning systems.

Only employees who have successfully completed training in accordance with 29CFR1910.178(1) will be permitted to operate a powered industrial truck.
