A summer job is the first, best tool to learn how to develop job and career skills. CDO Workforce Career System will help you look for a summer job, and we sometimes offer a Summer Employment Program to find quality jobs.
In addition to a paycheck, you’ll learn:
- How to work in a team.
- The basics of presenting yourself in a professional manner – whatever your profession.
- How to apply whatever skills and knowledge you have to real-world situations.
- The elementals -- showing up on time, following orders (and maybe giving them).
CDO Workforce Career System applies annually for grants to create summer job programs for young people. Some have income or other eligibility requirements. Some don’t. But contact us to see if we can help you.
Delaware County Summer Jobs for Youth
Are you between the ages of 14 and 20 and looking for a summer job?
CDO Workforce is currently taking applications for summer job placements for youth who are interested in working in their own communities. This program gives young people the opportunity to earn a paycheck and develop new skills that will help them for years to come.
The Summer Youth Employment program runs from July 8th to August 9th and youth must be a year-round resident of Delaware County , NY to be eligible.
While some of our funding is household income based, there are job opportunities within the program for youth of all income levels.
All interested youth are encouraged to apply!
